Beth bought a bike in the end, but it hasn’t been ideal. She did get quite fit, but it was a struggle to bring a change of clothes to work every day, and cycling at night wasn’t fun, especially after a long day at work.
Her bike was stolen, but luckily she had insurance. However, she had to miss a shift to sort out a replacement.
It was also a really bad winter, and she ended up using public transport to get to work, and had to get quite a few taxis home after finishing work late.
In the end, she has eaten into her savings more than she wanted to, and now might need to borrow more to buy a car.
